Meet Our Coaches!
At Thunder Elite, our coaching staff is the heart of everything we do. Each coach brings a unique blend of experience, passion, and dedication to our athletes. From former Thunder athletes who’ve grown into incredible mentors to fresh energy and long-time leaders, our team is committed to creating a positive, empowering environment where every child can thrive.
Together, Candy, Sabrina, Jaylyn, and Jessica, along with our entire team, work to make Thunder Elite what it is. The four of us may be leading the charge, but the true magic comes from every coach who contributes to making this gym such a special place for our athletes to grow, learn, and shine.

Gym Owner
Thunder Mama aka Candy

Known lovingly as “Thunder Mama,” Candy is the heart and soul of Thunder Elite. Since 2005, she’s been the steady presence behind the scenes—loving, supporting, and looking
out for every athlete who walks through our doors. Though she’s never cheered a day in her life (not even a cartwheel!), her passion runs deep. What started as cheering on her daughter quickly turned into a lifelong commitment to the gym and the incredible kids inside it. Candy isn’t a coach, but she’s the one making sure everyone feels safe, seen, and supported. Whether she’s offering a hug, sharing a laugh, or reminding you that you can do anything, Thunder wouldn’t be Thunder without her.
Her favorite Starbucks order is an iced unsweetened green tea!

Team Coach & Proshop Coordinator
Sabrina Robidoux

Sabrina has been a part of Thunder Elite since 2005—starting as an athlete at just 8 years old and growing into a dedicated coach with a heart for the next generation.
She’s cheered on nearly every team we’ve had and brings that same full-circle passion into her coaching. Whether she’s running the pro shop or coaching stunts (her favorite!), Sabrina is all in—100% committed to helping athletes build confidence and crush their goals. With her fun-loving energy, fierce loyalty, and high standards, she’s not just a coach—she’s a Thunder lifer.
And yes, her favorite Starbucks order is passion tea, sub the water for strawberry açai.

Team Coach & Preschool Director
Jaylyn Padilla

Coach Jaylyn has been a dedicated member of Thunder Elite since 2010, starting her cheerleading journey in 2008. She has a rich background as an athlete on teams like Oregon
City High School has shaped her into the passionate coach she is today. Her favorite skill to teach is dance, and she takes pride in watching her athletes light up when they master new routines. Jaylyn’s coaching philosophy is all about accountability. A favorite Thunder memory for Coach Jaylyn is seeing Freeze make it to Day 2 of the Summit, a moment that still fills her with pride. When she's not coaching, Jaylyn enjoys teaching at her own Preschool, Tumble and Learn, where she is the World's BEST Teacher!! Above all, her favorite part of coaching is seeing her athletes succeed and grow in their cheerleading journey. And of course she loves Watermelon Lime Rebels from Dutch!

into powerful, assertive coaching—pushing athletes to reach their full potential with confidence and clarity. She loves coaching all skills, but fulls and arabians bring an extra spark to her practices. Jessica thrives on watching athletes build belief in themselves, break through limits, and transform into strong, capable people both on and off the mat. Her favorite Thunder memory? Winning NCA in 2010 with her sister—a moment that still fuels her passion. Outside the gym, she’s a proud mom to Jett, LEGO builder, crafter, and dog mom to Georgie. Just don’t show up to practice in pajamas—Jessica believes in showing up like a pro. She always loves a good iced Americano with cream from Starbucks!

Her favorite things to teach are back tucks and routine cleaning, and her coaching superpower? Noticing every detail. Whether she's helping a team hit zero or celebrating a Grand Champ win, Sam is all about pushing athletes to be their best—and seeing those hard-earned smiles makes it all worth it. Her go-to fuel? A peach red raspberry Rebel with pomegranate drizzle from Dutch, or a strawberry açaí refresher with lemonade from Starbucks.
